Are you prepared to re-enroll into the medical cannabis program? If your enrollment was extended due to the Governor’s Executive order, your certification will be expiring on August 1st, 2021. The State’s FAQ site on this topic is linked below.

Please follow the recertification steps as soon as possible to ensure no interruption with your medication. Once you are re-enrolled your enrollment will last for 12 months.

Steps for Re-Enrollment in the Minnesota Medical Cannabis Program

1. Recertification starts by visiting with a health care practitioner who is registered in the Minnesota Medical Cannabis Program. You may already have a doctor, APRN, or PA that has done this for you.

They will recertify your condition and submit that information to the State of Minnesota. With COVID-19 precautions in mind, many health care providers are doing their recertifications via video chat or by phone. You may be able to get recertified without going to a healthcare provider’s office. Please note: telemedicine for new patients will only continue until June, 30th 2021.

2. After you are recertified, you will receive an enrollment email with your application link. Then you will complete or update your application and pay the annual registration fee.

3. The State of Minnesota will send you an approval email when your re-enrollment is approved.

Please note: The Office of Medical Cannabis processes all applications in the order they are received. It can take up to 30 days for review. Once your application is approved, you will receive an email that states your enrollment in the program is extended for another year. This a major factor to consider so please get re-enrolled as soon as you can.
