CONTRAINDICATIONS: Women should not consume cannabis during pregnancy or while breastfeeding except on the advice of the physician who issued a medical cannabis certification and, in the case of breastfeeding, the infant’s pediatrician. Extreme caution is advised in patients with a personal or family history of schizophrenia or other psychiatric conditions.

UNWANTED SIDE EFFECTS: As with any drug, symptoms of tolerance, dependence, withdrawal and substance abuse should be monitored closely. Possible side effects related to your product usage may include feeling dizzy or tired, eating more than usual, dry mouth, loss of balance, altered motivation, red eye, or change in pulse or blood pressure. Uncommon side effects include acute panic reaction, paranoia, fainting or stomach pains. This product may also affect the way other medications work in your body. If you feel that your cannabis usage is negatively affecting your daily life, relationships or job, please contact your healthcare provider or the MN Addiction Hotline (details below).

SERIOUS ADVERSE EVENTS: If you experience a medical or life-threatening emergency, immediately call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. When possible, please call 1-800-984-5936 to report this event to RISE Dispensaries.

TOLERANCE: Tolerance is the state in which the body will need more active ingredients over time to achieve the same physiological response as was previously experienced at a lower dose. Every person who uses cannabis will become tolerant over time, requiring increased dosage to achieve the desired effect. Tolerance can be managed by occasional “drug holidays” where no cannabis is consumed. This will allow the receptors in the body to return to a baseline level.

DEPENDENCE: Persons using cannabis may become dependent. Dependence differs from addiction. Dependence is a physical condition in which a person would experience withdrawal symptoms if cannabis was abruptly discontinued. Withdrawal symptoms can include the following:

  • Irritability
  • Alteration in Mood
  • Difficulty Sleeping
  • Decreased Appetite

Withdrawal from cannabis is typically mild. Symptoms generally peak within one week and typically do not last longer than 2 weeks.

ADDICTION: Chronic daily use of cannabinoids may result in psychological addiction. Signs of addiction are the inability to stop using cannabis products even though it interferes with many aspects of your life. If concerned about withdrawal, dependence, or substance abuse, immediately consult your physician. Always consult your physician when making decisions to start or discontinue cannabis use or if you are experiencing any adverse reactions. For information regarding substance abuse addiction treatment available in Minnesota, please contact the Addiction Hotline at 1-844-575-6602 or by texting MN to 741741 at any time day or night.
