MEDICAL CANNABIS AND MINNESOTA

Minnesota law permits medical cannabis use by patients who have a certified qualifying condition and are enrolled in the state’s medical cannabis registry. Learn more and read the full law here.

The full spectrum of pharmaceutical-grade cannabis medication from LeafLine Labs is developed at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. These medicines meet the highest standards of purity, consistency and quality, and are independently lab tested to verify content. Our medical cannabis formulations are made from whole plant extracts and contain THC and CBD as well as other cannabinoids in specific relative amounts. Clinically, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) can help control various symptoms including pain, nausea and vomiting. While generally less sedating, cannabidiol (CBD) can also treat pain and reduce inflammation, seizures and other symptoms. Your LeafLine Labs pharmacist will consult with you to find the individual medicine that is best able to treat you for your qualifying condition. Medicines come in child resistant packaging and will be clearly labeled with directions and important information. All of our medicines are smoke free.

WHY CANNABIS?

For thousands of years, the cannabis plant has been used as relief and treatment for a number of medical symptoms and conditions. Read more about the research that’s being done here.

Tangerine

THC > CBD

THC in appropriate amounts has many therapeutic effects such as appetite stimulation and pain relief. This benefit comes without the risk of respiratory depression and narcotic addiction that current prescription pain pills do.

Heather

THC = CBD

Commonly used for painful muscle spasm disorders. Combining THC and CBD in similar amounts diminishes the sedating effect possible with higher THC concentrations while increasing the overall targeted therapeutic effect of the medication.

Cobalt

THC < CBD

CBD is generally accepted as less sedating and is often utilized to treat epilepsy and other seizure disorders. It also has potent anti-inflammatory properties as well.

Medicine made with you in mind

All three medicine families come in a variety of formats. Our pharmacists will work with you to choose the format that’s right for you.

Syrups + Suspensions

Medication homogenized in healthy coconut oil. Ideal for children or adults who cannot swallow capsules.

Tinctures and Sublingual Sprays

Drops are placed under the tongue for quick absorption without swallowing. Best for patients who need certain medication effects experienced only when absorbed directly without passing into the stomach. Sometimes an alternative to vaporization.

Oils for Vaporization

Medication in extract oil form is turned into a mist-like vapor and is able to be inhaled. Medication absorption is generally rapid and the effects can be seen more quickly than with other forms. Some side effects seen with the oral medications are not experienced with this route of administration. Some vaporizers come with prepackaged oil cartridges and others use oils that patients load into a vaporizer themselves.

Capsules – coming soon!

Easy-to-swallow format.

Designed for safety

Our first-of-its-kind Cottage Grove production facility utilizes various technologies to safely gather all therapeutic aspects from the plant material to create pharmaceutical-grade medicines. We do not use any butane extraction methods. Our current “supercritical” CO2extraction equipment is used for its clean, powerful and efficient properties. We extract whole-plant content for a more advanced, therapeutically well-rounded product than synthetic cannabinoids. Each batch is tested for chemical composition, consistency and purity.
