Meet Bill, our fearless leader and Chief Executive Officer.
30-second elevator speech: I’m an Army kid who was born overseas and moved to Minnesota when my family relocated years ago. Fresh out of high school I joined the US Army and served four years of active duty. It was my military experience that created a desire to help others. So, I went to school for paramedicine and worked within that industry for 14 years. I have a beautiful wife named Jen. We have three children: Gabriella, Maverick, and Emma and a Catahoula Leopard Dog named Hazel.
What does a typical day of work look like for you? For me, no two days are the same and I like it that way. My work days include multiple meetings, employee rounding, phone calls, and frequent curveballs. I tend to thrive in chaos, but I’m especially proud of the stability and growth of Leafline Labs over the past year.
What is your favorite part of your job? Helping others. I really appreciate being able to help remove barriers that may impede our team’s ability to produce medicine and care for our patients. I also love to hear our wonderful patients’ success stories – they keep me motivated and fuel my inner passion.
What are you passionate about? Cannabis as medicine, of course! I firmly believe that medical cannabis is a miracle drug that needs to be available to all. I have seen what medical cannabis can do and it’s nothing short of amazing.
Favorite way(s) to spend your free time: I enjoy the great outdoors (sports, fishing, hunting, hiking, cabin, etc.), movies, and anything that brings my family together.
Favorite Minnesota sports team(s): Twins and Vikings
Share a fun fact about yourself: I’m obsessed with kettlebells! I really appreciate perfecting the techniques and the workouts are killer.
Who or what is your spirit animal? I’ve always envisioned grizzly bears.
You have to sing karaoke, what song do you pick? Badfish by Sublime
What is your least favorite vegetable? Okra, I just can’t get over the texture.
